MVS is passionate about offering affordable voice training, which is why our weekly lessons are the lowest on the market for certified, virtual voice teachers. However, we understand that even that is a big financial undertaking. That is why each week, MVS teachers offer the openings in their schedules for just $20. $20 Voice Lessons are limited to 30 minute lessons and cannot be booked consecutive weeks in a row.

Music: Please have 1-2 songs prepared for your lesson! These songs don’t have to be memorized, just things you want to work on.

Technology: Please have a device for the Zoom/FaceTime, and a separate device to play your accompaniment for your song selections. Your teacher will warm you up on the piano, but accompaniment is easier if it is played on your end. If possible, please attend on a laptop or computer. If that isn’t accessible to you, no worries! Just email your teacher and let them know!

Our drop-in option is great for people with inconsistent schedules, or for people not wanting to commit to weekly lessons. You book your drop-in lesson a month in advance. New availability is dropped each month so we don’t book out! We want to make sure everyone gets the chance to book a lesson.

We are proud to say that every voice teacher at MVS has further education in vocal pedagogy. This means all teachers have studied how to teach voice.

Absolutely! Everyone is welcome at MVS starting at age 8!

You can become a new student by completing the New Student Questionnaire linked here. This is your agreement for studio policies and also helps us know what you are interested in.

The cancellation policy applies to all lessons offered through MVS, including all voice lessons, MVS Dance, Dialect Coaching and College Audition Prep.

If the lesson is cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled lesson time, the lesson is not eligible for a refund or make-up.

If the lesson is cancelled outside of the 24 hour window, the lesson is eligible for a make-up.

If the student is 5 minutes late to the lesson, the lesson is considered a no-show and it is not eligible for a make-up or refund.

MVS occasionally offers lessons in-person in NYC. Otherwise, we are 100% virtual so we can be more accessible in terms of location and price!
